Lego movie trailer analysis



How has media language been used to create meaning in the Lego Movie advertising campaign? In your answer, you must talk about the poster campaign and trailer. (10)
In the lego movie, the use of camera/ sound/ editing/ mise-en-scene is used to create meaning.
The use of non diegetic parallel music (Staying Alive, by the Bee Gees) is used in the British Heart Foundation advert, when the character voiced by Vinnie Jones administers CPR to a Lego character. This is also reinforced by the slow pace editing so you can keep up with the steps Vinnie is doing on the man and keeps the attention on the CPR.
